But Where Do You Get Your Protein From?
Any other vegans out there completely sick of this question? I know I am. I had a conversation earlier with someone about how they could never eat a plant-based diet because they need all the protein they could get. 'Scuse me?
Imagine being THAT clueless? Do people really think that I get through life without any (or enough) protein? I'm pretty sure that there are many more plant-based proteins than animal proteins. Not to mention, they are much more healthy for humans and help save a ton of animals!
Although I do love consuming beans and nuts/nut butters, that is not the only place I get my protein from. Many people don't know that there are tons of grains and vegetables that have protein in them as well! You can thrive on a completely plant-based diet! Magical, right? There are even plenty of vegan athletes out there, so if they can do it why can't you?
So where can we get our protein from? LOOK:
And how much protein does your average person need in a day? The answer is: 0.8-1.5 grams of protein per pound of body weight. You do the math, and then make the change. GO VEGAN!
