New Beginnings...

Have you ever felt strongly about something, but didn't know how to create a plan to allow it to be a huge part of your life?

This is how I felt about nutrition.

I've always been a pretty healthy eater, but it wasn't until I became a mom that I really started to research and explore nutrition.  Why, you ask?  Well, I just want what is best and healthiest for my family.

Now don't get me wrong, we definitely indulge once in a while.  I am NOT a food Nazi.  My daughter enjoys her fair share of cupcakes and other goodies.  However, that doesn't need to be a main part of her diet, or anyone else in my family for that matter.

There are so many different health issues that are on the rise in the United States, that do not need to be.  Heart disease, obesity and diabetes are at their highest, and it is all due to the American diet.  There are many people out there that believe they are eating healthy, when in reality they are eating very poorly.

In this day and age, many people eat for convenience.  They either consume processed foods that are full of empty calories, chemicals and sodium OR they run out to the nearest fast food place to pick up something that should probably kill you after 3 bites.  Believe me, I totally understand that life gets busy, but your health doesn't have to be put at risk because you think you cannot take time to create healthy meals for you and your family.  There are many ways to help make healthy meals fit your busy schedule, trust me.  It really doesn't have to be difficult at all.

This is why I am taking a new journey in life.  I am stepping away from the world of Special Education, and am diving into the world of Holistic Nutrition.  I started the program a few weeks ago, and have already learned so much.  When it comes to Holistic Nutrition, there is more than just the food component.  I know I will be a successful nutritionist, and I will do all I can to help my clients gain and live a healthy lifestyle.  I look forward to working with many people in the future and heal them from the inside out.

Stay tuned for more on my new adventure!

xx ~ Jill
